Mocht het voorkomen dat er fouten ontstaan bij het updaten van je computer via windows update (automatisch of handmatig) dan kan het zijn dat je windows update cache beschadigd is.
Herstellen kan op de volgende manier:
- Stop de Automatic Updates (of Windows Updates in windows 7 of Vista) service.
- Maak de map C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution leeg.
- Start de automatische updates service, en download de updates opnieuw vanaf update.microsoft.com.
